Trip Overview

Located in the stunning Valle d’Itria of the Puglia region, we will reside in a beautiful Masseria topped with the conical roofs of the iconic trulli homes. Passed on for generations, this once working family farm has been converted into a charming hotel. You will stay in a “trullo” the traditional cone structure that forms the basis of local architecture. Contemporary, comfortable and spacious rooms with private terraces and modern amenities are imbued with ancient ovens and remnants of wine making days. Sleep where wines were once produced and peer through windows at ancient vineyards. Enjoy Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs under domed ceilings that hold many stories. Wander through ancient olive groves and acres of woodlands. Sip local wines by an inviting pool while soaking up the caressing, southern Italian sun.

Whether eating at the Masseria or taking a meal at a seaside restaurant in a local village, offerings of fresh, authentic food from restaurants with renowned chefs awaits you. Meals paired with local wines and fresh catches of the day will tantalize your senses.

After a breakfast, we will board comfortable, air-conditioned transportation and experience gorgeous land and seascapes as we travel to the many towns and villages of the Puglia region. We will tour UNESCO heritage sites, towns with baroque architecture, and hilltop towns that sparkle in the sunlight. Festivals are common at this time of year and always a delightful surprise to experience.
